]]> Royal Challengers Bangalore is the Bangalore based IPL team and they are known for their innovative initiatives. One among the initiative is wearing green jerseys for the “Go Green” initiative in every 4 pm home matches in IPL.  It has been in their plan since the team RCB wears Green Jersey for the first time in 2011.

 

The Reason

Why Green Jersey?

RCB’s green jersey represents the awareness to “Go Green“. The Go Green initiative was set up by Siddhartha Mallya and according to this initiative, the team will sport the green jersey for one home match in every IPL season.

By wearing the green jersey every year, RCB has been doing this to create awareness about global warming. They have also been taking part in initiatives to plant trees in Bangalore.

The Captain of RCB will exchange a sapling with the opposition captain on this occasion.

When will the team RCB wear Green Jersey?

It is considered that the team will fix the 4 pm home match to wear the green jersey, like today, April 15, 2018, against Rajasthan Royals match was picked to wear the green jersey.
